Keikigrow Slide Show

Rescue of Crown-damaged Phalaenopsis or Other Monopodial Orchids By Application of Keikigrow Plus
Cut back the diseased center of the affected plant to clean green tissue using a sterile knife. Dry the incision. Stoprot may be applied to dry the incision and seal the incision against further infection.

Remove one or two of the bottom remaining leaves (some may have already fallen off). Apply Keikigrow Plus and work into the area at the base of the leaf where there is a dormant or adventitious bud. Injury to the plant has rendered this bud susceptible to propagation. Keikigrow Plus should be applied liberally to the portion of the stem between roots and the bottom leaf.

When the bud growth appears it will usually develop on the mother plant's original roots. Frequently several growths emerge. A vigorous root system should produce a secondary plant that flowers in about a year.
